Foraging & cookery at Dale House Barn

Dale House Barn has published dates for an exciting range of courses covering everything from bread making to mountain biking.

Proprietor Dominique Ashford has recently built a new demonstration kitchen at Dale House, and many of the courses on offer tap into her background and experience as a highly skilled pastry chef in Michelin-starred restaurants across the UK.

When she isn’t in the kitchen, Dominique is also a keen cyclist and outdoor adventurer, and will again be hosting her popular ladies mountain biking weekends with expert rider Liz Peacock.

Most of the courses are two-day residential affairs, with accommodation available in the luxury B&B or bunk barn in an idyllic location beneath the rugged outcrops of Bowland Knotts – a couple of miles outside Slaidburn.


  • 14th and 15th May Intermediate Mountain biking skills weekend (optional advanced skills day on the Monday)

  • 18th & 19th June Beginners MTB
  • 3rd and 4th September Intermediate MTB (optional advanced skills day on the Monday)
  • 17th & 18th September Guided riding weekend
