We are situated on the edge of Chipping village which is an ideal location for those wanting to explore the beautiful countryside the Ribble Valley has to offer. We have on site – all pitches are hard standing with electric hook up, toilet/ shower block, information cabin, laundry and dog wash.

Chipping village has two pubs (both serving food), a farm shop, Cobbled corner cafe and Brabins shop and tea rooms ( Britains oldest continually trading shop since 1668).

Lakewood Cottages

Lakewood Cottages are located on a small farm just outside the village of Galgate, a few miles south of the historic city of Lancaster and also a few miles from the small market town of Garstang.

A more idyllic location would be hard to imagine with the cottages enjoying their own, private lakeside setting (fishing welcome on the lake).

Finished to a high standard the cottages offer good, spacious family accommodation. Less than 200 yards away is one of the most beautiful stretches of Lancaster Canal which along with the lake and surrounding countryside, offers a multitude of pleasant and enjoyable walks. Golf and fishing are also available locally.

These cottages are a wonderful rural retreat, ideally placed for exploring Lancaster, The Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Forest of Bowland, Fylde Coast and Morecambe Bay.

The converted barn consists of four cottages, Granary (sleeps 2), Mill Cottage (sleeps 4), Stable Cottage (sleeps 4) and Stone Barn (sleeps 6), all four star gold award rated.

Slaidburn Youth Hostel

Slaidburn Youth Hostel is one of the oldest YHA hostels in England – welcoming guests to this beautiful Forest of Bowland village for more than 80 years.

In addition it has a comfy lounge with an open fire, ideal for the darker nights. It has its own car park This hostel is very popular with cyclists especially those doing the Lands End to John ‘O’Groats cycle route as a mid-way point.

The self-catering side is well provided with a kitchen that has two cookers, a larder fridge and plenty of cutlery and crockery.

The Coach and Horses

The Coach and Horses is a traditional coaching inn, set in the idyllic village of Bolton by Bowland in the heart of the Ribble Valley.

Newly restored to its original glory, this Grade II listed building includes a cosy bar and elegant restaurant plus an onsite micro brewery.
